POSSESSIONS: "He is wear a pair of worn out light blue jeans that have definitely seen better days and a nice fitted black button-up shirt with nothing underneath and the top three buttons (including the “choker button”) undone. He also wears a pair of black flip-flops on his feet. Around his neck is a 5mm braided black synthetic leather necklace with a sterling silver clasp and a sterling silver pendant that looks like the silhouettes of two fangs-one “pointing” right that overlaps the one “pointing” left", "a pair of overly worn-out loose jeans, a fake worn-out muscle-tee with the AC/DC logo in black on the chest, and some socks and black/white Converse high-tops". He also wears "a pair of blue and gray plaid" boxers, and a watch.
ORIGIN: Crookshanks is a 19-year-old American wizard. A "Voldemort follower" turned him into a cat. He could only turn back into a human if he owner wished he was human.
CONNECTIONS TO CANON: After attacking Draco on the Hogwarts Express, Hermione wishes that Crookshanks was human so he could "take care of Draco". Then he runs away to transform. Hermione stumbles upon Night, and he tries to be suave by kissing her hand. When he exists the train, Hagrid stops him, but one small meow from Night, and Hagrid figures everything out. I am 100% serious. Then he asks Hermione to join him in a separate carriage to try and explain everything, but before doing so he calls Draco "Hitler" and tells him that his "Nazis" are going to have to go somewhere else, as "This safe house is for Jews only". Hermione giggles at this, and tells him that was "cute". He tells her his story, and she believes him. Then he tells her to continue calling him Crookshanks because he likes it. Then as an "amusing" role reversal he carries her into Hogwarts, which Hermione giggles at "cutely". After visiting Dumbledore, he becomes the new Hogwarts "protector". I didn't even know they needed a new one! This means he gets to sit with Hermione at the Gryffindor table and eat with them. People ask him questions about being a cat, and about America, and then he escorts his fans back to their common rooms. He goes off to patrol the school, and tells Hermione that she can stay in his room, if she wants too. Hermione jumps at the chance. The next day he asks "Severus" if he can sit in on the class, Snape allows this. Apparently Snape used to talk to Crookshanks (when he was a cat). In class, Night gets bored so he starts to write notes to Hermione, Snape catches them, but isn't that angry. Then Night takes Hermione for a romantic lunch in the RoR. They fall in love, which squicks me. Ron is jealous, of course, but Night has a chat with him, to ease the tension. Ron is ok with this because everyone loves Night. Then they go shopping for costumes for the costume ball. Hermione wants him to look like "a prince from the 1800s in modern times".
SPECIAL ABILITIES: Well, he can turn into a human from being a cat. Despite being a cat for 19 years, he did not age in his human form, I think. He might be 38, I don't know. It's not clear. All of the students "stair" at them. He still has some feline characteristics, such a growling. I would have thought "hissing", but maybe that is the result of never hearing my cats growl. He is a "materializer", meaning he can conjure things from his thoughts. They are supposed to be very rare.
NOTES: If you need to give us a legend to describe the symbols you use to denote various characters "thoughts" you are doing it wrong. Plus the Suethor tells us that she does not read the books, but watches the movies. I think this is an outlet for the Suethor to have a perfect, "safe" relationship with a guy.
