SAMPLE:
I couldn’t believe the rage that was still left in me, for I had come back and skipped all my classes to sulk in the corner of the common room.
Me being me, I stayed out of temptation’s way, even though Cedric was shooting apologetic glances at me.
So, being bored, I read a book. I read a book about how to avoid my species. It was extremely painful, so I ended up throwing the book into a different corner of the room.
Then the horror I thought wouldn’t happen…suddenly came.
Ah shit.. Were my sudden thoughts when Cedric and Edwin bursted through the door like it was a huge surprise party going on later and they’re setting things up…
Dakota, get your ass out of that corner and stop being emo and come and say hello to your brother, Edwin’s thoughts directed to me as he changed into normal clothes from his robes.
“Doubt it,” I muttered. Glaring at Edwin, I watched him trip half way down the stairs and stumble into a chair.
“Well, if you doubt it, then keep on mopin…” Because you know what will happen. My brother didn’t dare finish his sentence because his eyes made mine travel to Cedric who was finishing pulling a tee shirt on. I got a glimpse of the abs and suddenly bit my lip.
I whimpered loudly as my sharp teeth involuntarily came into fangs and pierced my skin a bit. A blush creeped up my face before I could pale out again.
Mustering up the best I could, I stood up, making my way into the girls’ dormitory and changed into a white spaghettie-strap tank top and black carpis. I slipped my shoes off and came back down barefoot.
A few more people had come in, and were distracted by my apparrell. A sixth year let out a low wolf whistle, while his eyes lingered on my so-easy-to-see bright blue bra. Whoops. Oh well, it was going to be hot this weekend and everyone would wear what I was wearing…maybe something similar.
I heard the smallest of growls come from someone behind me. I smirked inwardly, but frowned as I turned around.
“What do you want?” I grumbled, crossing my arms.
“I want to apologize for making you angry earlier…” Cedric bit his lip and kept his grey eyes down.
“Eh heh. Sure. Riiiight.” I shook my head and sat down on the floor in front of the fire.
“No really. I mean it.” He pushed along the many people now, taking a seat next to me on the floor.
I looked at my hands, watching them glow in the warm light of the fire. Cedric grabbed my chin and locked my jaw, even though I could easily break the grasp when I wanted to. Looking me dead straight in the eye, I swear he was telling me that he loved me, but that wasn’t the case.
“I know I angered you, I feel so guilty of doing that. I know you’re probably upset with seeing Cho and I together, but maybe..just maybe…I could be with you too. I feel the connection, Dak. I do.” He looked so sincere that I wanted to sit a wee bit closer but it wouldn’t happen.
“I won’t be here tomorrow.” I said, touching the riveting scars on my neck. I had to go settle the dragons, maybe ending up with minor burns, for the first challenge.
“Oh, well, uhm, be safe where ever you go.” Cedric looked down again and released my jaw, I flexed the muscles before watching him shuffle to bed with everyone else.
-
Checking both ways, I snuck into the boys’ dormitory and ever so silently, stepped over to where Cedric layed, sleeping like a rock, unaware of my feared prescence.
He was sleeping on the top bunk, so I had to climb all the way up the bed post to sit on the edge of the bed. And I swore to God that he knew I was there because Cedric rolled onto his back, sat up, and looked me dead straight in the face.
….Ho….ly….shit.
I blinked and cocked my head like a dog.
“What’re doing!?!” He whisper yelled.
“Being what I’m meant to be.” I whispered back.
He stared blankly at me, obviously clueless.
“I have a…destiny and prophecy…to you. I have to protect you from no matter what, and I’m also destined to you. But I can’t tell much other than that, and also, I can’t tell you what I am, otherwise my cover’s blown.” I explained to le-clueless Cedric. He nodded, finally able to lay back down and let his head drop to the side.
“S’pose you’re also meant to watch me sleep?” He asked sarcasticly.
“Sorry.”
Cedric groaned and flopped onto one side before falling alseep again.
I muttered a WHOO and made my move.
Moving as stealthily as possible on a bed, I managed my way up next to Cedric, letting his arms close around me instinctively in his sleep. It felt right at that moment. His lips were lightly brushing my neck and his body lined up with my curves. I, of course, was out like a light.
